GSK Takes Legal Action Against Pfizer in US, Alleging Patent Violation of RSV Vaccine
GSK has filed a lawsuit against Pfizer in a U.S. court, claiming patent infringement with Pfizer’s RSV vaccine, Abrysvo, which GSK alleges violates its own RSV shot, Arexvy. The British biopharmaceutical company asserts that Pfizer’s vaccine infringes four of its patents concerning the antigen used to combat the respiratory syncytial virus, initiating the legal action in Delaware’s federal court.

US Court Allows Further Patent Challenges against Medtronic by Axonics
Medical device company Axonics has succeeded in reopening its challenge against the validity of two Medtronic patents related to spinal stimulation technology, following a ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. This marks Axonics’ second recent victory in the ongoing dispute with Medtronic, with the court also reopening challenges to two other Medtronic patents.

Nike Emerges Victorious in Battle for US ‘SNKRS’ Trademarks Registration
Nike successfully persuaded the USPTO tribunal to revive its bid for federal trademark rights in the name “SNKRS,” used for its popular sneaker sales app. The Trademark Trial and Appeal Board overturned the earlier decision, ruling that “SNKRS” is not a generic term for sneakers and is eligible for trademark protection.
