The device includes a base portion having a motor, a processing assembly configured to mount a food item, an auger assembly operably coupled to the motor for driving rotational movement of an auger shaft and is configured to process the food item. Paypal Seeks a Patent for a Payment Method That Uses Unique Product Identifier Codes

U.S. patent application, US20210004893, describes a payment technique using unique product identifier codes. The method includes capturing the unique code on a user’s mobile device, providing the user with options of making a purchase or plurality of purchases using different captured codes, and processing the payment via the user’s mobile device.

Intel Pursues a Patent for the Acoustic Management of Entertainment Devices

U.S. patent application, US20210006869 relates to techniques for the acoustic management of entertainment devices and systems. The techniques include acoustically determining a location of a remote control, controlling entertainment components using voice commands or establishing a voice connection using a remote control device. IBM Files a Patent Application Relating to a Technique for Notifying Passengers of Imminent Vehicle Braking

U.S. patent application, US20210001771, discloses a method for notifying passengers of an imminent brake event of a vehicle. The method includes identifying the occurrence of the imminent brake event, determining a delay value and a safety threshold associated with the event and postponing use of the brake system for a duration corresponding to the delay value.

Apple Wants a Patent for Detecting Fall of a User Using a Mobile Device

U.S. patent application, US20210005071, discusses a method for detecting a fall of a user. The method includes obtaining motion data from sensors incorporated in a wearable device worn by the user, determines an impact experienced by the user and the likelihood of the user requiring assistance after the impact. Roche Seeks a Patent for a Liquid Chromatography System

U.S. patent application, US20210003541, relates to a liquid chromatography system that includes a sample-injection valve, a trap-bypass-selection-valve, a column-bypass valve, a load-elute valve, and a trap-selection valve. Merck Seeks a Patent for Tyrosine-Specific Functionalized Insulin and Insulin Analogs

U.S. patent application, US20210002345, relates to a process of making a tyrosine functionalized insulin analog by using a tyrosine amino acid on an insulin or insulin analog using R-3H-1,2,4-triazoline-3,5-(4H)diones.

Abbott Eyes to Patent Health Management Devices and Systems

U.S. patent application, US20210000396, discloses an in-vivo blood glucose monitoring system that includes a transcutaneous glucose sensor and a data management system to analyse a patient’s glucose levels remotely by a healthcare provider (HCP) with privacy protections. The figure below illustrates an in-vitro data transfer to the HCP PC terminal via a USB connection.

U.S. patent application, US20210000363, discloses a single piece multi branch stent device that includes a main body, a proximal and a distal coupling extending from the main body, where the proximal coupling perfuses the brachiocephalic artery and the distal coupling perfuses the aortic branch vessel during deployment. The figure below illustrates the side perspective view of the stent device.
